I bought the fish finder for 200 gold, and I certainly don't regret it! You can check the maximum weight of the fish you're looking for, and it will tell you what zone to throw your bait. I wish I had it from the start!
The mk2 is better as per another user that it shows which fish is at which range but the mk1 only shows the number of fish in the lake or river .... Im currently building my gold for the mk2..got a long way to go

Emerald Lake, leeches at 3.0m with 4.3 hook, and you'll get nothing but 5 star Pike Grass everytime!
Go to emerald lake use the sdr lure and cast to 15m and extreme top left.... then make sure u have a strong 24kg pulling weight rod with reel and keep lure to bottom of lake and slowly drag lure towards u....ull pull out catfish since In real they love being below the bottom of floor or right at bottom...
Go to Emerald Lake, and use leeches at 3.0m with 4.3 hook. The maximum weight of the Pike Grass is 3.15, and the minimum weight of the hook is 3.1, so you'll get nothing but 5 star Pike, giving you the most money for your efforts!
you can go to the white rocks and fish close to your character with the botflies and catch grass pike almost every time you get a bite so you can farm them plus you always catch big ones 180 gold or more
